When I was taking Japanese, and it came up in coversation, somebody would evitably say:

"Ooh! Japanese! Okay, 'ching chong wing wang wong'! Did I just say something? What did that mean?"

It happened a depressing amount of times. Yes, you just said something in Japanese. Good guess, guys. You're naturals.

But it makes me wonder: if American people impersonate asian languages they do not know in that way (everyone can 'fake' speak German, French, Italian, etc. just by making sounds from the language and stringing them together), how do foreigners impersonate English? I would love to hear it.
